Poster celebrating Pamplona's Feria del Toro, 2026!

The 2026 Feria del Toro poster for Pamplona is a bold and colorful tribute to the drama, tradition, and emotion of San Fermín. Created by Madrid-born artist Carlos Franco, the artwork places the bull at the very center of the composition - literally embedded within the word “feria” - making it the undeniable star of the piece. Unlike the official San Fermín festival poster, the Feria del Toro design was not chosen through a public vote. Instead, Franco was directly selected by the organizers of the festival, earning the honor of creating the official image for one of Spain’s most internationally recognized bullfighting events.

Although Franco is not from Pamplona, he has a long personal connection to the city dating back to the 1970s, when some of his earliest solo exhibitions were held there. A leading figure in Madrid’s “new figurative” art movement, Franco is known for his expressive, dreamlike style, and those artistic influences are clearly reflected in the 2026 poster. The vivid summer colors, layered imagery, and sweeping red forms evoke everything from the famous San Fermín scarf to the excitement of the bullring itself. Franco has spoken fondly of Pamplona and the friendships and joyful memories he associates with San Fermín, and that warmth shines through in his artwork. Even small personal details - including a hidden cat within the composition - add a playful and intimate touch to a poster that captures both the energy and emotion of fiesta season in Pamplona.

You may purchase this poster in many of the souvenir shops in the old city of Pamplona, specifically at our friend's "La Casa del Libro" shop, located at Calle Estafeta, #36. This very popular shop is owned by two brothers - Carmelo and Fermín - and they specialize in all sorts of books about Pamplona's history and traditions. During the fiesta dates of July 6-14, their hours are 8:30am until 1:00pm, daily. They are closed in the afternoon hours, daily.
