Poster of the San Fermín fiestas, 2026!

The official annual "Poster of the Year" for the 2026 San Fermín festival in Pamplona has finally been chosen and made public to the world! This long-awaited poster is titled La Cuadrilla (“The Group of Friends” or “The Crew”), a vibrant and detailed work by Pamplona-born illustrator Marta Garatea Almagro. Chosen through a public vote that drew a record number of local residents from Pamplona, the poster was praised for capturing the collective spirit and emotional energy of the famous fiestas. Garatea described the image as a “choral” composition - not focused on a single moment, but on the shared experience of San Fermín itself.

At the center of the poster is a diverse cuadrilla - the close-knit groups of friends that are essential to the San Fermín experience - gathered together with iconic festival symbols including San Fermín, a bull, churros and chocolate, brass bands, fireworks, peñas, and the famous giants and cabezudos. The artwork is divided into four sections filled with movement, music, and celebration, using the traditional San Fermín palette of red and white accented with bursts of color. Garatea, a freelance illustrator trained at the Escola Joso art school in Barcelona, is known for her richly detailed digital style, and many viewers felt the poster successfully conveyed both the chaos and warmth of Pamplona’s most famous festival.

You may purchase this poster in many of the souvenir shops in the old city of Pamplona, specifically at our friend's "La Casa del Libro" shop, located at Calle Estafeta, #36. This very popular shop is owned by two brothers - Carmelo and Fermín - and they specialize in all sorts of books about Pamplona's history and traditions. During the fiesta dates of July 6-14, their hours are 8:30am until 1:00pm, daily. They are closed in the afternoon hours, daily.
